Wildwood Church's vision has evolved from "Every Member A Missionary" to something deeper—a vision rooted in Scripture that has compelled God's people for millennia. We believe our new vision resonates with the heartbeat of God and is the culmination of all human history.
Isaiah's Prophecy
God's Eternal Purpose
Isaiah 66:18-20 reveals God's plan: gathering all nations and tongues to see His glory. The highest priority of all God's works is His glory—it governs everything He does. From creation to redemption, from judgment to grace, God does all things for His own glory.
"The time is coming to gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and shall see my glory." —Isaiah 66:18
God's Glory In:
  • Creation (Isaiah 43:7)
  • Deliverance (Ezekiel 36:22-23)
  • Redemption (Psalm 106:8)
  • Adoption (Ephesians 1:5-6)
From Prophecy to Commission
Seeing Glory
Peoples from coastlands far away will see God's glory revealed in Christ.
Declaring Glory
Those who see will declare His glory among all nations and peoples.
Gathering Nations
They shall bring brothers from all nations as an offering to the Lord.
Isaiah's Hebrew word goyim (nations) becomes ethne in Greek—meaning peoples, not nation-states. What Isaiah saw in prophecy, Jesus gives us in commission: making disciples among every people group on the planet.
Christ: The Ultimate Sign
The ultimate sign God set among the nations is His Son—lifted up for the life of the world. God is glorified most fully in Christ. Because Christ is the clearest revelation of who God is, the glory of Christ becomes our vision.

Wildwood's Vision:
The glory of Christ among all peoples.
This is what Isaiah saw. It is what God prepared before the foundation of the world. It is what unites believers of all time and all places.
Spiritual Awakening
The Beginning of Spiritual Life

"God has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." (2 Corinthians 4:6)
We Behold Glory
Every Christian has personally come to behold Christ's glory—the foundation of our faith and confession of who Christ is.
Church Is Built On It
"On this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." (Matthew 16:18)
The Culmination of History
Revelation 7:9-10 shows us the future: a great multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language standing before the throne. You, along with every believer throughout history, will be united around one single thing: the glory of Christ.
Every Nation
All peoples gathered together
Every Tribe
No group excluded
Every Language
United in worship
One Glory
Christ exalted forever
"The glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. By its light will the nations walk." —Revelation 21:23
Jesus' Prayer Before the Cross
On the night He was betrayed, Jesus prayed for His disciples and for all who would believe. His prayer reveals what compelled Him to the cross—the joy set before Him.
Jesus Prayed For:
  • His own glorification (v.1)
  • His disciples' protection (v.11)
  • Their sanctification in truth (v.17)
  • Unity among believers (v.21)
  • Future believers through their word (v.20)
His Ultimate Desire:
"Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory." —John 17:24
Christ endured the cross so that we can behold His glory forever.
